04 — Training & Awareness

Empower your people. Strengthen your business.

Practical, hands-on training in cybersecurity awareness and data literacy — designed to change what people do, not just what they have sat through.

The Problem

Technology cannot fix a human decision

The strongest firewall does not stop someone clicking a convincing email at 4:50pm on a Friday. And the best dashboard in the world is useless if the team looking at it has never been shown how to read it. Most organisations under-invest here because training is hard to measure — which is exactly why it stays a weak point.

Our Approach

Sessions built around your actual work

We run practical workshops using scenarios your team will recognise, with their own tools and their own data where possible. People leave with something they can apply that week — not a certificate and a vague sense of unease.

What We Deliver

The work, in detail

Cybersecurity awareness

Phishing and social engineering defence, password and account security, safe browsing, and how to report something suspicious without fear of blame.

Data literacy

Excel fundamentals through to data cleaning, analysis and the progression into Power BI — taught with your data, not a demo dataset.

Data visualisation

How to build a chart that answers a question, how to spot one that misleads, and how to present findings to people who do not work with data daily.

Team & leadership sessions

Shorter briefings for management on technology risk, data-informed decision-making and what to reasonably expect from an IT provider.

What Changes

What you should expect to be different

These are the outcomes we design for. We will agree which of them matter most to you before any work begins, so success is defined up front rather than argued about at the end.

  • Staff who recognise a phishing attempt before clicking it
  • A reporting culture where people flag mistakes early
  • Less dependence on one person who "knows the spreadsheet"
  • Teams that can answer their own data questions
  • Practical skills applied to real work, not abstract exercises
  • Sessions sized to your team, in person or online

How We Work

A process you can follow from the outside

You will always know which stage we are at, what we need from you, and what happens next.

  1. Discover

We start by understanding your business, your people and the problem you actually need solved — not the one the technology suggests.

  2. Analyse

We assess your requirements, existing systems, data and constraints, then agree what success looks like before anything is built.

  3. Design

We design a solution that fits your budget and your team's capability, with security and maintainability built in from the start.

  4. Implement

We build, integrate and test in stages, so you can see progress and give feedback well before launch day.

  5. Support & Improve

We hand over properly, train your team, and stay available to refine the solution as your organisation grows.

Capabilities

Tools and technologies we work with

We choose the tool that fits the problem and your team's ability to maintain it — not the one that is fashionable this year.

Industries

Different sectors. The same underlying problems.

Scattered data, manual processes, ageing systems and security no one owns. We have worked on all four across these sectors.

Questions

Frequently asked

Something not covered here? Ask us directly — we would rather answer it now than have you guess.

How long is a typical session?
Cybersecurity awareness works well as a half-day, or as a series of shorter sessions if taking the whole team offline at once is difficult. Data literacy is usually delivered over several sessions, because the skills need practice between them.
Can training be delivered online?
Yes, though hands-on data training generally works better in person. Cybersecurity awareness translates well to online delivery and can be run for distributed teams.
Do you tailor content to our organisation?
Yes, and it makes a substantial difference. Using your systems, your file structures and phishing examples aimed at your sector produces far better retention than a generic deck.
What if our team has very mixed skill levels?
That is the usual situation. We establish the range beforehand and either stream the group or structure the session so the fundamentals are covered quickly while more confident participants work on extension material.

Empower your team

Tell us the size of your team and what you are worried about, and we will propose something proportionate.

No obligation. We will tell you honestly if we are not the right fit.
